Communication
It is the Company’s policy to keep employees informed about developments within the Company on performance, products and conditions of employment. An employee’s Supervisor or Manager is the key link in answering any questions and providing the information needed to perform a quality job. Many of the Company’s communication systems also give the opportunity to raise general queries and discuss points of interest.
Information Meetings
Information meetings are held twice a year. All employees will be given information as to the Company’s preceding 6 months results in terms of financial performance and major projects completed.
The format of these meetings will be a presentation by the Managing Director and functional managers (when required). Questions are welcomed on any related issues.
Business Council
The Business Councils are made up of elected representatives from each area of the Company. They are a means by which the flow of two-way information throughout the business can be improved, as well as providing a forum for the discussion of matters which affect the Company as a whole.
The Councils also serve, on an occasional basis, as a means of resolving group issues which cannot be dealt with through Management in the normal way.
Health & Safety Committee
This committee is made up of representatives from each work area. It meets on a bi-monthly basis under the chairmanship of a member of the Senior Management Team. Its functions are to implement safety policies and procedures, advise on changes to the Company, investigate, report and solve safety/environmental issues.
Each work area has access to an HSE notice board where information about accidents, minutes of committee meetings, HSE newsletters, etc. are displayed and updated regularly.
Notice Boards
These are situated around the buildings. They are used for displaying important information, such as:
