Exhaustive independent environmental bench testing and back to back engine tests ensure the Weston probe matches the output of the OEM probe across the load range.

The design weaknesses of the OEM probe have been addressed. Terminal stud failure is alleviated due to the use of a new anti-rotation design. In addition, a unique back-fill at the thermocouple tip improves the reliability of the internal element.
