	Individual thermocouple replacement

Weston Aerospace, working with Rolls-Royce Industrial & Marine Gas Turbines, have developed a replacement Avon T4 temperature measurement system. This development was initiated as a result of ongoing unreliability with the current system. The new system uses many new, but proven features that have been developed for the next generation of industrial WR21, RB211 DLE and 24G engines.

The thermocouple system and installation fixing kit can be purchased directly from Weston Aerospace.

Each thermocouple can be individually replaced, reducing long term cost of ownership and maintenance time. Each ‘fixing kit’ comes complete with a comprehensive installation and maintenance manual.

The system uses ‘hardwired’ terminal tag and clock connections between thermocouples and harness, ensuring a strong consistent output signal, also improving maintenance and fault finding and is enhanced by an integral lid wiring diagram.

The flexible harness can be altered to suit individual requirements, including removal of the Multi-pin connector in favour of a hardwired junction box connection.
