Weston Aerospace are pleased to offer to operators and overhaulers of the GE Industrial LM series of engines an alternative to the OEM supplied T3 sensor.
The new dual or single output T3 thermocouples have been developed to overcome known in-service problems experienced with the existing part. The current T3 sensor is prone to premature failure of the ‘hard lead’ due to p-clip frettage. Removal and installation of this part is time consuming as well as awkward. The new T3 also makes redundant the current style of harness and connector. The probe comes with a new style of harness lead that connects directly with the thermocouple head. This is the same design that is utilised on all new LM2500 and LM6000 EGT thermocouples. This method improves signal reliability and life.
The T3 sensor is offered with 40ft flexible leads. This allows the probe to be connected either directly to the control panel or the on-engine junction box.
